The cleaner chosen for your surface
Not one product for every job. A surface sealed with CAT5 gets OxyShock MAX — oxygen-activated and safe on the finish. An older unsealed surface with years of organic staining often does better with a measured sodium-hypochlorite treatment. Both are standard, both cost the same, and David chooses once he has seen the surface.
Grease, oil and rust are priced separately
They are not organic staining, and no organics cleaner takes them out. Where they turn up, they are assessed on site and quoted before anything is done — never folded into the wash, never assumed to be included.

A controlled rotary rinse that respects your joints, followed by a proper tidy-up: the surface, the edges, and everything we worked around.
A condition report you can act on
While we're on the surface we see the joints up close. You get a plain-language read on their condition — and if they're failing, we'll tell you cleaning alone won't hold them.
Thinking of sealing? When the assessment verifies your joints are cured and sound, Interlock CAT5 Seal & Renew can go on the same visit — wash, dry, seal. If the joints themselves are failing, the sequence changes: Interlock Restoration — Natural Finish first, a 30+ day cure, then sealing.
- Blower sweep — debris and grit off the surface first, so nothing grinds under the wash.
- Wet and rinse — the surrounding plants and surfaces are wetted down, then the interlock gets its first rinse.
- Cleaner dwell — the cleaner chosen for your surface goes on and gets time to work into the grime.
- Soft wash — a rotary surface cleaner at high volume and low pressure (generally under 400 psi, and only up to about 1,250 psi where staining is really set into the stone). That is a fraction of what a typical hardware-store pressure washer puts out. The whole point is that your joints are staying put, so nothing in this process is designed to move them. Emptying a joint is a different job at a different pressure — and that job is a restoration.

Average grime; heavy buildup is confirmed on arrival before any adjustment. Prices include getting there and setting up; your postal code settles the exact number, and it is confirmed before booking. Prices exclude 13% HST. Stain treatments (rust, oil, stubborn organics) are assessed on site and quoted before work begins.

Common questions.
Is cleaning enough, or do I need restoration?
It depends entirely on the joints. If the polymeric sand is still intact and the surface is just dirty or mossy, a professional clean will bring it back. If the joints are eroded, loose, or growing weeds from below, cleaning improves the look but does nothing for the structure. That is Interlock Restoration — Natural Finish territory, and we will say so plainly once we have seen it.
Will it remove stains?
Organic staining — moss, algae, leaf tannins, general grime — is what the wash is built for, whichever cleaner your surface calls for. Grease, oil and rust are different chemistry entirely: we carry it, but it is assessed on site and quoted before anything is done, because those are separate work rather than part of a wash.
Can you seal it while you're there?
Unlikely, but possible. It takes joints that are already cured and genuinely sound, and most surfaces dirty enough to want a wash do not have them. If yours do pass, Interlock CAT5 Seal & Renew can go on the same visit — wash, dry, seal — but plan on it being a second trip and treat same-day as the exception. The one thing that never happens same-day is sealing over freshly rebuilt joints: new polymeric sand cures 30+ days before any CAT5 goes near it.
How is this different from the Annual Maintenance & Warranty visit?
Same professional wash, different context. The Annual Maintenance & Warranty program is a yearly visit that keeps restoration warranties in force — cleaning, inspection and a written condition report. Standalone cleaning is the one-off version: right for a surface we haven't restored, a newer installation, or getting a property ready for sale.
What does it cost?
Quoted from your surface — area, condition and access vary too much for a flat price. Cleaning does not need David standing on your driveway to price it: send photos and the measurements, or the size from the estimator, and he can quote it by email. If it is easier to have him look, that visit is free. Either way the number is confirmed with you before any work begins.
