Lawn Restoration · Seasonal Fertilization

Quality over visit count.

A fertilization program built on better product: four timed applications — with the darkening summer pair at its heart — that keep the lawn fed from green-up through to freeze-up. This is a client program, for the lawns we have seeded, sodded, or restored.

The Idea

Fewer visits. Better fertilizer.

Most fertilization programs sell you a visit count. This one buys better product instead: specialized turf fertilizers with slow-release technology, applied at the right rate at the right time. The centrepiece is the summer pair — two applications of 21-3-7 with Color+ and Secure-N, timed across the hardest stretch of the season, where a single mid-summer feed would surge and then fade.

It is the same philosophy as everything else we do. The lawn does not care how many times the truck shows up. It cares what actually goes down.

It is also a client program. We fertilize lawns we have worked on — seeded, steam-and-sodded, or restored through Revive — for clients who want a great lawn. On a lawn we already know, the results are ones we can put our name on.

The Program

Four applications, timed to the season.

Spring

32-4-8 booster formula

A slow-release booster that drives the spring green-up and early root development — the season opener, timed to when the lawn wakes up.

Summer — two visits

21-3-7 with Color+ — two darkening applications

The heart of the program: 30% slow-release nitrogen stabilized with Secure-N, plus 2% iron for the deep summer colour. Applied twice across the summer so the lawn is fed steadily through the hot months and the darkening effect does not fade between visits.

Fall

15-0-30 fall formulation

Potassium-forward feeding for root reserves and winter hardiness, so next spring starts from strength instead of from scratch.

The darkening effect is built in. The summer is covered by two 21-3-7 iron applications — there is no upgrade column and no choosing between good and best. One program, and it's the best one.

Good To Know

Common questions.

Who is the program for?

Clients whose lawns we have worked on — seeded, steam-and-sodded, or restored through Revive — and who want a great lawn, not just a greener one. Two honest reasons:

First, fertilizer feeds whatever is growing. On a thin, weedy lawn that is the weeds, and we will not take your money to make a problem greener.

Second, the program stays affordable because the visits ride our existing maintenance rounds.

New here? Start with an assessment — a Revive or seeding season first — and the program opens up after that.

Why four applications?

Spring booster, two summer darkening applications, and fall winterization. The two summer visits replaced the old single very-slow-release feeding. You get the same season coverage, steadier feeding through the hot months, and the deep colour holds instead of fading between visits. More than four applications starts buying truck visits rather than lawn quality.

What exactly goes down in summer?

21-3-7 with Color+ — 30% slow-release nitrogen stabilized with Secure-N, plus 2% iron. Applied twice across the summer. The iron drives the deep, dark colour; the stabilized nitrogen feeds without the surge-and-fade of common fertilizers.

Is this the organic program?

No — this is the classic program: straightforward turf nutrition on a season schedule. If you want organic-first feeding guided by a soil test, that's Organic Plus. Fertilizer is not affected by Ontario's cosmetic pesticide ban, so both programs are fully within it.

What if fertilizer hasn't worked for my lawn before?

Then the fertilizer probably wasn't the problem — the soil was. If there is any doubt about past fertilization success, start with a soil test: lab results on your lawn's chemistry with a remediation plan. Compacted, acidic or depleted soil wastes good fertilizer, and we would rather fix that first.

What does it cost?

Flat advertised prices by lawn size — from $259 to $409 +HST. Your lawn size is verified with aerial measurement and your price is confirmed by email before the season starts; nothing is charged until each visit is done.

Where do you offer it?

Where the maintenance rounds run — Orléans. A season-long program is many short visits, and short visits work on a route: we come through the neighbourhood rather than out to it. One-time work — restorations, seeding, interlock — travels across the city.
