Price your new lawn in about 60 seconds.

Paint the area you want replaced, answer one question, and see a real Steam & Sod range on screen — no email required. Replacing a lawn is the one job David always sees in person first. He confirms the exact price after that visit, in writing.

Step 1 — The Area

Paint the area you want replaced.

Type your address, then paint the tired lawn on the satellite photo — the square footage follows. Prefer to type it? The size box on the right takes a number too.

Step 2 — Your Range

Step 3 — Make It Real

Like your range? Get it in writing.

Send your details and David arranges a visit to see the lawn. Replacing turf depends on what is under it, how the ground sits, and how equipment and sod reach the area. He confirms your price in writing after that, with your steam day and sod day proposed together. No obligation, no pressure.

  • A reply within one business day
  • A visit to see the lawn — the part aerial measurement can't tell us
  • Your price confirmed in writing — steam and sod dates proposed as a pair
  • A straight recommendation — including when restoring your existing lawn is the smarter spend

Good To Know

Common questions.

How much does a new sod lawn cost in Ottawa?

Steam & Sod runs on a real cost-up model — labour, equipment, and materials for your specific area, not a market guess. Paint your area above and your own range appears in about 60 seconds, no email required. Replacing a lawn depends on things aerial imagery can't show — what's under the turf, the grade, and how equipment and sod reach the area — so David sees it in person before confirming your exact price in writing.

Why is this priced separately from your other lawn programs?

Because it's a different job. Revive, Repair and the maintenance programs work with the lawn you have; Steam & Sod replaces it — steam preparation, fresh topsoil, and Manderley sod. The restoration estimator can't price that, so this one does.

Whose sod do you install?

Manderley — the Ottawa-region grower supplying this area since 1960. We order their Less Water series, which Manderley grows from drought-tolerant cultivars qualified by the Turfgrass Water Conservation Alliance. Named on your proposal, because you should know what's going onto your lawn.

Is the range binding?

It's a genuine cost-up range for the area you paint, assuming the area as you painted it. David confirms your exact price after he's seen the lawn, in writing — and if anything on the day calls for a change, it's agreed with you before it happens. Prices exclude 13% HST.

Should I do this, or restore what I have?

If soil work and seeding can bring your lawn back, that is less money and we will recommend it — every time. Steam & Sod is for lawns genuinely beyond that, or when you need an instant result before a sale or event.
